Peninsula Co-op Food Bank Returns This July

Vancouver Island, BC, – Peninsula Co-op is proud to launch its annual July Food Bank Donation Campaign, running from July 1–31 across all Fuel & Convenience Centres, the Food Centre, and The Liquor Co. 1977 locations.
Throughout the month, customers can support local food banks by making a donation at checkout. Peninsula Co-op will match every customer donation, up to $25,000, doubling the impact of every dollar donated and helping provide more food to families across our communities.
“Supporting our communities is at the heart of what we do,” said Brandi Natarelli, Community Relations Manager at Peninsula Co-op. “Every donation, no matter the amount, helps local food banks provide essential support to individuals and families. By matching donations, we’re able to make an even greater impact together.”
Funds raised through this campaign will be shared among local food banks across the communities Peninsula Co-op serves, helping address food insecurity during a time when many families experience increased need.
“When school is out for the summer, many children lose access to regular meals, and the need at the food bank only grows. Today, one in four people accessing our food bank is a child. We work hard to keep up with this increasing demand, but we can’t do it alone. We are incredibly grateful for businesses like Peninsula Co-op that help ensure local families have access to the food they need,” said Claudia Rezende, Director of Development, The Mustard Seed.
Community members are encouraged to visit any Peninsula Co-op Fuel & Convenience Centre, the Food Centre, or The Liquor Co. 1977 location throughout July to make a donation and help support local food banks.
