PENINSULA CO-OP IS PROUD TO ONCE AGAIN PROVIDE SPONSORSHIP TO TOUR DE ROCK

Peninsula Co-op and Vancouver Island Consumer Co-ops are incredibly honoured to provide sponsorship again this year to the Canadian Cancer Society Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock. The Tour de Rock involves a team of Vancouver Island police officers cycling 1,000 kms from the north to south end of the Island over a period of 15 days. The tour visits 27 different communities, each working tirelessly year-round to fundraise. Your community is one of them!

In upcoming months look for raffle ticket sales, bottle drives, bake sales, and head shaves!

Funds raised by the Canadian Cancer Society Tour de Rock help with the best pediatric cancer research in Canada and programs that help children with cancer and their families.

Cops For Cancer - 2009 Fundraising Events

June: Look for Donation Boxes at all locations of Peninsula Co-op.  Thank you for your support of this worthy cause.

May: On Tuesday May 26th all locations of Peninsula Co-op participated in a "Cop"cakes for Cancer bake sale.  Over 60 Peninsula Co-op employees volunteered to bake and decorate cup cakes which were sold by donation at each of our locations.  Thanks to the hard work of our employees and the generosity of our Members - we raised over $2,000!  

April: On Saturday April 25th Penisula Co-op Staff volunteered many hours to organize and conduct a Bottle Drive at our Keating Food Centre location.  Special 'Thanks' go out to our staff members Trisha, Deli/Bakery, Linda, Accounts Payable and Nancy, Home Heating, for their many hours of hard work.  We would like to thank the many Co-op Members who dropped off bottles and cans in support of this worthy cause.  $612 was raised at this event and is an inspiring start to this year's fundraising campaign!
